Account numbers are used for authentication. App logs are never sent automatically but are rather explicitly sent by the user. App version checks are performed every 24 hours to tell the app if there are any upgrades available and if the currently running version is still supported.

The speed and extreme stability of Mullvad vs. other very prominent VPNs I have subs to is nothing short of jaw-dropping. The very experienced and reputable Mullvad crew has clearly delivered a stellar Wireguard protocol implemention:// Switching from one country to another is instant and - unlike other services - very distant servers are just as quick as nearby ones. // Using Mullvad on slower and less stable WiFi networks markedly improves both speed and stability of network traffic. I’ve not had that added benefit with VPNs that use the standard “older” OpenVPN or IKEv2 protocols. // Loving the very clean and simple iOS app layout, the no-email-required subscription, and the flexible subscription periods. The Mac app UI is equally pleasingly lean, clear, and easy to use. Very evident this product was build by meticulous and passionate experts who considered every aspect of this app’s capabilities and UX.

Transparent and true privacy, high speed, large number of server choices, simple and snappy app. Actually has more features than I expected: ad tracker blocker, ad blocker, etc. very very fast connection. Can’t recommend it enough This is how a real VPN should be — no nonsense, just privacy
